A Letter to a Prospective Donor

As an independent filmmaker, from 1998 until the present day, I have produced 24 documentary films recording human rights violations suffered by the civilian population of Kosovo; as well as numerous cases of destroyed or vandalized Orthodox churches and monasteries in the region.

My films have been broadcast on television networks and shown at international film festivals where some have received awards.

Over the years, official institutions of the Serbian government and the Serbian Orthodox Church have issued several DVD editions of my Kosovo films and presented them worldwide.

A new edition DVD with three of my Kosovo films, translated into the six official languages of the UN, is now available.

The government of Serbia (the Ministry for Kosovo and Metohia) has bound itself to cover the full costs of the production, but due to their budget cuts this project could not be supported at all.

However, thanks to the support received from interested individuals and organizations, I was able to produce a limited number of copies of this new edition DVD. The copies have been sent to 192 Missions to the UN seeking their endorsement to have this document officially presented at the UN Security Council’s regular sessions regarding safety and the protection of Serbia’s cultural heritage in the region.

I am asking for your support so that MORE copies of this DVD can be produced at this time and distributed on a non-commercial basis to MORE academic and political institutions worldwide.

It will also help me enhance this web site where the films could be downloaded for free. My hope is that the web site will generate enough funding to have films translated into ALL languages used by 192 members of the United Nations.
